Cece Dennis, OTD, OTR/L, Doctor of Occupational Therapy, has joined the staff of Central Carolina Hospital. She is treating inpatients at the hospital and sees outpatients at the adjacent Rehabilitation Services building.
Dennis completed her bachelor of science degree in exercise and sport science at Campbell University in 2021. She earned her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from Baylor University in Waco, TX, in 2023.
Previously, she has worked as an Occupational Therapist at Village Green Health & Rehabilitation, in Fayetteville and at Gulfcoast Physical Therapy in Sarasota, FL. At Village Green, she implemented best practices for falls prevention to reduce injuries for patients, residents and staff.
Dennis brings a patient-focused approach to her role treating neurological, orthopedic and stroke patients at CCH.
“I try to meet my patients where they are, and try to understand that it’s a very holistic approach to their rehab process,” she said. “I try to be really holistic and thorough when developing my plan of care with my patients. It’s not just me developing something for you. It’s us working together to get you back to where you want to be.”
A native of Harnett County, Dennis grew up in Fayetteville. She is living in Broadway with her husband, Nick, who is stationed at Fort Liberty. She says she is enjoying working at CCH.
“I absolutely love this place,” she said. “I love the spirit of it all. I love the atmosphere, and all the employees are just great. It’s a really good team to work with.”
