The Intensive Care Unit at Central Carolina Hospital is comprised of eight beds to provide close observation and monitoring of acutely ill patients. The patient population ranges in ages from Neonates to Geriatrics. Each room has a bedside monitor which is also monitored centrally by staff. All Intensive Care nursing is provided by specially trained Registered Nurses. Telemetry techs are housed within the ICU. They are responsible for monitoring 32 telemetry beds to observe patients located throughout the medical and surgical floors.
