Hospital History

From its early beginnings in 1909 to today's ongoing ER renovation project, Central Carolina Hospital has seen many changes. Our name has changed, from CCH to Lee County Hospital and back again. We have also occupied several geographic locations in town.

But one thing hasn’t changed: our commitment to our community. As a Duke LifePoint hospital, Central Carolina has the experience and commitment to strengthen care at home. And we are committed to fulfilling our mission of “making communities healthier®.”
