Central Carolina Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Recognized For Clinical Excellence
June 22, 2023
Central Carolina Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine has earned a national Center of Distinction award for 2022 for its outstanding clinical outcomes.
The award was received from Healogics®, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services, in recognition of the center achieving a patient satisfaction rate above 92 percent for 12 consecutive months.
“This is a tremendous achievement for our entire wound care team,” said Chris Fensterle, CEO of Central Carolina Hospital. “Our patients are consistently satisfied with the outstanding quality of care they receive from our highly trained clinicians at the center.”
The center offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds which have not healed in a reasonable amount of time. The center’s wound care experts provide advanced wound care modalities, including negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings and growth factor therapies.
The center also offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which works by surrounding the patient with 100 percent oxygen to help progress the healing of the wound.
“Central Carolina Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine’s providers and staff have been recognized for their commitment to provide outstanding care to the people of Lee, Harnett, Chatham and Moore counties,” said Dellena Sellars, Program Director. “Our team works hard every day to provide high quality care to every patient who enters our doors. I am honored to work with a staff that promotes healing and compassion to all.”
Central Carolina Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine is among more than 600 wound care centers nationwide that belong to the Healogics network. For more information, visit https://www.centralcarolinahosp.com/wound-care.
