Nurse Practitioner Joins Central Carolina Community Family Care

Kelly Kirby, MSN, RN, FNP-C, has joined Central Carolina Community Family Care effective Wednesday, Dec. 20.
Kirby received her undergraduate nursing degree from Eastern Kentucky University and her master of science in nursing degree from Northern Kentucky University. She became certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2023 and has more than 20 years’ experience as a registered nurse.
Prior to joining Central Carolina, she worked at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg and Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington. Part of a proud Army family for 18 years, she has also worked as a nurse at hospitals in Texas, Iowa, Georgia, Washington, Kentucky and California.
Her specialties as a family nurse practitioner include primary care services, annual wellness visits and preventive care, chronic disease management for hypertension and diabetes, school and sports physicals, and urgent visits for acute illnesses and minor injuries. She is comfortable seeing patient across their entire lifespan for diagnosis and management of acute and chronic medical conditions.
Kirby joins the practice of Daphne Cates, MD, and Amie Motley, FNP, and is welcoming new patients at Central Carolina Community Family Care, located at 2412 Wilkins Drive in Sanford.
